Problem:
WALT to construct a sturdy bridge that can hold two duct tape for one minute
Materials
- Straw
- 2 A4 Papers
- Pipe cleaners
- Cardboard- Tissue rolls
- 1 metre tape
- Scissors
Method: (How to make a paper bridge)
Measure the Cardboard to about 11 cm and you also have to make sure that the cardboard is equal to the rest.
Cut out your cardboard that you have measured, and once you have done that you also have to cut the tape into tiny pieces. You need to cut it into tiny pieces because you then will have a lot of tape left to stick the cardboards and other elements for your bridge.
Fold the paper so that you can bend it and then sellotape it on to the paper. We then folded our straws like the way on the picture on your right. After we folded our straws we taped it onto the side of our paper.
Tie them together with a string but with the string you have to cut it in half. Using one half you use the four straws which have been placed together and then we tied it in a bow for accessory.
Results
Our bridge held two duct tape but it needed some adjustments. It’s because was tilting on one side so it needed to be fixed. Now it is nice and sturdy to hold two duct tape.
