Contaminated water
Have you ever thought of what would happen if there is contamination of the water? Well I have. It can cause serious harm to anyone. Contamination of the water can start by people throwing litter in there drains and then it will go to the waterways. This can lead up to our marine life. Our marine life could choke on the litter that we dump in the sea and the litter put in our drain.
This can affect and breakdown the food chain. This will cause the marine life dying, like whales. If they die we will not be able to swim in the sea because there is a lot of plankton swimming in the sea and the ocean will be all covered by them. Whales are great eaters of plankton. No whales mean increase plankton out in the ocean.
Another problem is cow waste. When the cows poop sometimes the farmer picks it up and puts it into the drains. When the farmer puts it in the drain it will go to the waterways and go to the sea, and again it can break down the marine lives food chain.
One other reason why contamination in the water is happening is because of pesticide. Pesticide is a chemical that kills insects and
bugs. When people spray pesticide on their plants the insects die, and sometimes when it rains the pesticide can go to the drains into the waterways then into the ocean washed away from trees and insects. That means we will have the chemical in our water that we drink from our taps. So that means we will be drinking pesticide water.
Another problem is acid rain, this can begin by our water getting contaminated then the water from down low will go up into the clouds and then it will start to rain. The result is rain, the rain will make your skin itchy. This is because of the pollution in the water.
Contaminated water is causing one other problem which is oil spills.
Oil spills is when the boats spill oil in to the sea and it evidently kill the marine life.
Would you like to drink contaminated water? Well think about it having dirty water and having little pieces of litter inside your glass. Well I know I wouldn't want dirty water. Do you want clean water so stop littering.
