Book review

Title- The Hunger Games
Author- Suzanne Collins
Settings- District 12/Panem & the arena
Characters- Katniss Everdeen, Primrose, Peeta Mellark, Gale, Haymitch, Effie, Portia, Cinna Caesar and the other tributes.
Development- The Capitol is cruel, forcing all districts to send one girl and one boy ages 12 to 18 to participate in the hunger games. Katniss Everdeen steps forward to take her little sister Prim’s place in the Games. All districts have an interview with Caesar and it is broadcasted in front of
Screenshot 2016-03-03 at 12.42.23 PM.pngthe whole capitol,  district 12 is called up to the stage to answer some questions. It’s Peeta’s turn and he admits his secret admirer and it keeps the crowd breathless.
What was emotional?
The emotional part for me was when Prim was called to the stage to be a competitor for the games and as she walked up katniss volunteered as tribute. Prim then cried for her sister and started pulling her back but then Gale pulled Prim back.
What was special?
It was special because all these people participating in the games are fighting for their life’s to go home to their families
What I enjoyed?
I enjoyed when Katniss spins around and her dress turns into flames (The girl who was on fire)

Intense, sad, romantic, violent, adventurous, exciting, fascinating, touching and scary.
Who is the book suitable for?
This book is suitable for ages 11 and over because it is intriguing and breath taking
